Last night was the big amfAR gala at the Cannes Film Festical. It’s become of the biggest events of the year, although looking through the photos… this year was slightly boring, which is no surprise because there’s been a real lack of “big name” celebrities and A-list gossip coming out of this year’s Cannes events. CB emailed me & Bedhead some of these Jessica Chastain photos, asking if we thought Jessica looked pregnant. I’m not sure! From some angles, this Saint Laurent dress is either unflattering or barely masking a baby bump. It does seem like Jessica is “sucking in” in some photos, so I really don’t know. Her jewelry is Bulgari, just FYI.

Here’s Dita Von Teese in Ulyana Sergeenko. I’ve developed a late-in-life love affair with velvet. I love this dress. It’s gorgeous, and it works beautifully on Dita. My only complaint is that it doesn’t seem like the best choice for a summer event in the south of France? This is more “New York at Christmas”.

Janet Jackson in Armani Privé. I hate this, but it doesn’t matter. Janet is richer than God and she just married a billionaire. My hatred for this fug outfit can eat it.

Stacy Keibler in Elie Saab. Didn’t Charlize Theron wear a dress that looked a lot like this several years ago? It’s giving me strong Charlize vibes. And all I can see is Stacy’s crazy body, which is truly amazing. But when you see beyond the dress and the body… this is poorly styled. She needs a bracelet, some interesting earrings and a real hairstyle.

Aishwayra Rai in a golden sari by Indian designer Tarun Tahiliani. Let me tell you something as a half-Indian woman: Indian women LOVE gold. We love metallics, but especially gold. It’s like a universal thing with Indian woman. I rarely wear yellow gold jewelry or gold clothes because I’m not crazy about how it looks with my particular skin tone, but I think Aish is pulling this off spectacularly. Plus, this is just a really beautiful sari on a really beautiful woman.

“The Big Bang Theory” has come a long way in six years — and continues to climb to new ratings heights — but this season in particular saw plenty of growth for its main characters.

In the season finale, Raj finally overcame his selective mutism, and a previous episode saw Sheldon and Amy taking their relationship to the next level, but as far as stars Johnny Galecki and Kaley Cuoco are concerned, it’s Leonard and Penny’s romance that’s left them the most satisfied.

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, both actors chose Penny’s “I love you” moment as their favorite scene from the season, which is understandable, given how long it took her to get there.

“When Penny said, ‘I love you’ to Leonard. It took her more than five years to say it. That’s why now you know with Penny that whatever she does is real. You know when she said it she truly meant it. That’s why now Leonard is OK with going away and knowing that they’re going to be OK,” Cuoco told THR. “We did that in one take. Steve [Molaro] came out and said, ‘We’re really happy with that. Do you want to do it again?’ We didn’t want to; it felt perfectly right. I told Johnny: ‘It was so weird — I became Penny in that moment.’ There was no audience, just Leonard and Penny. It was a moment I’ll definitely never forget.”

Galecki agreed, “Penny telling Leonard she loves him is pretty big. We didn’t play it as a watershed moment. It was played as if she’s always known this. It was touching. I also love the moment when Leonard says, ‘I know I propose a lot,’ and then promises that he won’t. It’s one of my favorite Leonard lines to say. To put his own desire aside and say, ‘You tell me when you’re ready, despite what I want in my life right now and with you right now.’ That’s unconditional, selfless love.”

While some fans were concerned that the pair would break up again in the finale, executive producer Bill Prady recently told The Huffington Post that the on again/off again couple have “come to a good place for the moment, so I think maybe they’ll get to be happy for a little while.”

Amanda Bynes may finally get the help many believe she needs, after she was reportedly arrested in her Manhattan apartment and taken for a psychiatric evaluation on Thursday night.

According to NBC News, police officers were responding to reports of a disorderly person, and when they arrived at the 27-year-old’s West 47th Street apartment, the former Nickelodeon star allegedly threw a bong out the window.

Bynes was arrested and charged with reckless endangerment and taken to Roosevelt Hospital to undergo a psychiatric evaluation before heading to a Midtown precinct to be processed.

A source close to Bynes told TMZ that police were called because the former actress was showing signs of disturbing behavior, including talking to herself. According to the website, when the police showed up she lost it and began yelling, “Don’t you know who I am?”

The former child actress has been exhibiting increasingly erratic behavior over the past year, starting with a series of car accidents and DUI arrests.

Bynes moved from Los Angeles to New York this past September, and while the move has kept her off the road, it hasn’t kept her out of trouble. Over the past few months, Bynes was reportedly kicked out of various gyms for strange behavior and most recently for allegedly smoking pot in the women’s locker room.

The self-professed retired millionaire has been very vocal about denying allegations of her alarming behavior, and has taken to Twitter to deny various claims, as well as admit to having plastic surgery, suffering from an eating disorder, and threatening to sue nearly every tabloid and magazine that wrote about her.

Throughout all of this, there have been reports that Bynes’ family is understandably very worried about her well-being, but have been powerless to do anything since she’s an adult, and there is little they can legally do to ensure she seeks help.

The actress’ most recent arrest, as unfortunate as it might be, may also be the key to getting Bynes the professional help she’s clearly so desperate for.

UPDATE: The Associated Press reports that it was a building official who called police to complain that Bynes was smoking marijuana and rolling a joint in the building’s lobby. When cops went to Bynes’ apartment they saw heavy smoke and a bong, which Bynes then threw out the window in front of the officers.
