Chelsea’s Christian Pulisic ‘really suffering’ as he recovers from injury

Ahead of the 2018 World Cup, Christian Pulisic was one of the most exciting players in the world. Now, his career has stalled.

The pulisic injury update and return date is a story about Chelsea’s Christian Pulisic. Pulisic has been out for over a month, but he is still recovering from the injury.

Christian Pulisic is “truly suffering” following a series of setbacks in his rehabilitation from an ankle injury, according to Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel, who expressed optimism that the US international might return to play soon.

Pulisic hasn’t played for either club or country since suffering the injury in the second half of a World Cup qualifier against Honduras on September 8.

The 22-year-old will be Chelsea’s lone absence in Wednesday’s Champions League home game against Malmo, and Tuchel highlighted Pulisic’s difficulties to make an impact in the Premier League after just making two appearances this season.

“He was wounded during a match against the United States,” Tuchel said. “It was a harsh foul, and he injured his ankle as a result.” There’s no need to be concerned that we’re withholding information or not giving you all you need to know. I’m afraid I can’t tell you all the specifics since I’m not a doctor.

“Right now, he’s having minor difficulties due to pain, not from a severe injury or problems.” The discomfort in his ankle is the only thing that bothers him.

“Once these guys with these fast movements, like Christian, experience discomfort and aren’t free in their motions, recuperation doesn’t happen, so you have to start again.” You start again and get to a certain point before the agony returns and you have to take a little break before starting all over again.

“Right now, we’re very close. Last week, he was on the verge of returning to team training when he had a little setback and a minor response, nothing major, but severe discomfort. We’ll continue from there.

“He is, of course, irritable. He does everything, and we can see him suffer at every meeting, and he is really hurting every time we see him here at our training center. He wants to be on the field with us and assist us. Everyone is giving it their all, but the ailment is taking its time to heal.”

Last Saturday, Chelsea held off a second-half assault from Brentford to win 1-0, despite the fact that €115 million summer addition Romelu Lukaku was removed after another lackluster effort.

Lukaku is suffering from cumulative tiredness as a result of an arduous period with Belgium, which saw them knocked out of Euro 2020 in the quarterfinals by Italy before losing a thrilling Nations League final to France earlier this month.

“Romelu is a little overplayed in my view,” Tuchel remarked. “I believe he competed in too many tournaments during the summer, including too many with the national team.” He was now a member of the Nations League. He is a great athlete and such a competitive person that he dives deep to win and never takes anything for granted. He aspires to be on the field and win.

“Things will get a little simpler for him once he finds his groove. It’s tough to say if he really needs a rest or whether it’s preferable to keep him on the field. The next national break is approaching, but I have a bad feeling about him, as well as a few other players.”
